Fred Swann is one of three Democrats running for Georgia Agriculture Commissioner in the upcoming primary on May 24. We spoke with Fred Swann about his mushroom farm, the most pressing issues facing Georgia agriculture, labor abuses on farms and in poultry plants, Black farm debt and land loss, as well as his vision for Georgia agriculture.

Georgia will have a new Agriculture Commissioner for the first time in 16 years. The primary winner will face Republican Tyler Harper, who is running unopposed in the upcoming election.
