Nate couldn't help himself but turn up to this recording session representing his football team with some not-so-subtle Adelaide Crows merch. It might not mean much to some people, but in the two-team city of Adelaide, Nate's AFL polo shirt sends a message regarding allegiances.

And allegiance is a key theme in their final conversation around Jeff Christopherson's book 'Once You See'. The gravitational pull of 'Partisanism' and 'Paternalism' might be different in expression between the church in the US and Australia, but there are definitely some common traits.

While admitting the subject can tricky to navigate, Trav and Nate give some compelling insight into the nature of surrender in the context of spiritual community, before giving a tease for their next season!

Continuing their conversation around the book 'Once You See', Nate and Trav bring their Adelaide, Australian lens to the 'temptations' of passivism and pragmatism in spiritual community.

The story of Nate's community at Richmond is providing a real, live example of disruption and how inconvenince might provide opportunities never before imagined.

In the midst of their musings is an insightful reflection on how we might understand the 'kingdom of God', and a challenge on the motives we might carry in what's commonly referred to as 'evangelism'.

Nate & Trav continue reflecting through the 'Once You See' story. Trav is reminded of his hey-day leading a drama team, and Nate gives some insight into the nature of the 'sunday-centric' gravity in his own context.

They might not use Christopherson's words 'professionalism' or 'presentationalism', but there are definitely some parallels to the temptations he names.

Again, perhaps better understood as gravitational fields rather than just temptations!

Nate and Trav have entered the building. After hundreds of meaningful conversations over the years, they've finally chosen to put it on record with their first episode: 'no silver bullet'.

Once they've introduced themselves and why they're keen for this podcast, you'll then hear an Australian perspective on the book 'Once You See' by Jeff Christopherson.

Beginning with the first of seven western church 'temptations' (or perhaps better understood as 'practices we gravitate to'), you'll be given an honest reflection and critique on the common assertion: ' we are a Bible-believing people'.
