Anger is a fire that can burn quietly or explode without warning. One moment everything feels calm, and the next, a harsh word, a slammed door, or a bitter thought reveals how easily our hearts can boil over. Something small—a traffic delay, a disagreement, or a misunderstood word—can ignite that fire in seconds. But anger does not have to control us.
Today, we’re exploring what Scripture teaches about fits of anger and how to respond in ways that honor God. Anger itself is not always sinful, but when it goes unchecked, it can destroy relationships, steal peace, and hinder God’s work in our hearts. The Bible calls us to wisdom, patience, and self-control—to pause, listen, and seek God before reacting.
By slowing down, praying, and choosing restraint over impulse, we can transform moments of frustration into opportunities for growth, reconciliation, and spiritual maturity. God desires our anger to be brief, purposeful, and guided by His Spirit, not fueled by pride or emotion.
