In this short story, a young trumpeter finds himself in that exact situation.

As the pressure mounts and self-doubt creeps in, he has a decision to make: Will he shrink back and let someone else take the solo in the concert?

Or will he rise to the occasion and allow the pressure to mold him into the person and musician he's meant to become...

This is a story about overcoming impostor syndrome, embracing growth, and learning that maybe—just maybe—you do belong exactly where you are.
