Today on The True Purpose Podcast, host Will Stewart is talking to Roleff Kråkström.
Roleff Kråkström is managing director of Moomin Characters Ltd, and CEO, chair of the board and founding partner of the licensing agency Rights & Brands. He is a board member on several companies within the Moomin group of companies as well as others. Moomin Characters Ltd owns the rights and licenses the original artwork of the Moomins, created by Tove Jansson (1914-2001), an illustrator, writer and artist from Finland. The Moomins are a family of white and roundish trolls with large snouts that live in Moominvalley.
Before joining Moomin Characters, Roleff worked in the publishing industry for 15 years which is where he found his true purpose in his professional career. Previous to that, he was a fish monger, something he is very proud of, and claims laid the foundation for his skills in sales. In this conversation, Will and Roleff talk about what shaped Roleff’s career and how he has found purpose in everything he does.
On the podcast, we hear more from Roleff about…
Growing up in Finland.
How he found purpose in publishing.
Life as a fishmonger.
The art of books.
The deep-rooted values embedded in Moomin.
… And how selling 2 tonnes of cucumbers in 7 minutes landed him his first job.
