In this episode, Louise poses a question to parents: whether your meals are food or 'fill'? That is, is your child actually being nourished when they eat, or are they just consuming low-nutrient, so-called food, which can harm their health and developmental journey?
The Healthy Happy Children Podcast brings together three expert health professionals who are passionate about providing practical health tips and advice for parents and their children to help create thriving and healthier family lives. We are delighted to introduce the Healthy Happy Children Podcast team to our listeners: Dr. Gary Leong a paediatrician and endocrinologist (https://childhoodobesityprevention.com.au), Roslyn Saunders, an empowerment coach (https://www.roslynsaunders.com.au/), and Louise Elliott, a child health nutritionist, and health entertainer, https://commonhealthkids.com.au/).
Together, Dr. Gary, Ros, and Lou through their weekly fun podcast conversations will help parents and families find solutions to many common child and adolescent and parental health problems and struggles. These will include topics that touch many families all over the modern world, including mental and physical health problems, such as depression, anxiety, and addiction, and conditions related to poor family lifestyle (unhealthy nutrition/diet and lack of regular physical activity, sedentariness, and screen addiction), and many other family health topics which all contribute to you and your child having poorer health and well-being.
Dr Gary, Ros, and Lou welcome your feedback and questions and invite you to contact them for questions and suggestions about future topics you wish to be raised. Please email any comments and questions to HealthyHappyChildren@outlook.com. Meanwhile, stay Healthy and Happy, and don't forget, Smile as every day is yours to enjoy with your children!
