  • Compassion Advocate Who Talks The Talk & Walks The Walk with Gissele Taraba | 235
    Mar 17 2026

Gissele Taraba never imagined her lifelong dream to work in Canada's child welfare system would end in burnout. And she certainly didn't expect to start a new career, become an author, become a podcaster, and be in the process of making a documentary. And she really really didn't think all would be around the ideas of self love and compassion. But here she is, and she is thriving.

Through her personal discovery of her lack of self love and lack of compassion for herself, Gissele has dedicated her life to helping others discover the power of meeting those challenges head on. Whether it's just sitting in acknowledgment of your imposter syndrome, coming to the table to resolve conflicts in a relationship, or filling your own cup so that you can help someone else (if they are ready) out of a mess, you do not want to miss this episode.

  • The Addiction Doctor Whose Been There & Recovered From That with Dr. Jason Giles
    Mar 11 2026

Dr. Jason Giles was not going to be an alcoholic for a very specific reason–his dad was an alcoholic and made him feel inadequate. He didn't go down that road, but becoming a doctor in the field of anesthesia gave him access to something else: fentanyl. In a major plot twist, what started as his own personal recovery turned into a passion for working with addicts.

While other doctors don't have to necessarily share in the same plight as their patients, Dr. Giles is convinced that there is something special about him being able to understand where his patients have been as well as them seeing the promise in where the work of recovery could lead.

  • The Ultimate Survivor Who Vowed Never To Become A Victim Again with Wendy Alexander | 233
    Mar 4 2026

What would you do if you found yourself in a seemingly impossible situation? Would you crumble? Would you find a way to make it through? We'd all like to say we'd make it, but it's a lot easier said than done. Wendy Alexander was put in one of those impossible situations. About to give birth to her cheating, abusive boyfriend's baby. No money in their joint account after he stole it. Saddled with the house debt. And no way to make money after her daughter arrived. She wallowed for a minute, sure. But that was the last time she would ever be a victim again. Listen as she tells Max about how she made some really sweet lemonade out of her sour lemons. It's inspiring to say the least.
