Fatal crash in Sydney's northwest

A fatal collision occurred in Sydney's northwest when a Mitsubishi Lancer struck the back of a tipper truck on Lane Cove Road at North Ryde after 1am. The male passenger died at the scene, whilst the driver and female passenger were trapped before being hospitalised in serious but stable condition.
