Join us as Pastor Tommy continues the sermon series Here as in Heaven. Eugene Peterson described the church as a "colony of heaven in a country of death." God's desire is to bring heaven here, and this overflows into our worlds. In this message we will describe our strategy for missions based on Acts 1:8. We will emphasize the significance of Jesus' identity as King in the New Testament. We will stress that the phrase "kingdom of God" signifies God's reign and rule through Christ, encouraging repentance and belief in Jesus' message, urging us to prioritize God's kingdom in our lives. We will discuss the importance of recognizing Jesus as the Anointed One and the impact of this understanding on evangelism.
