Do you feel like God has stopped listening to your prayers?

Are you questioning why God would allow your child to struggle with autism, medical complexity, or disability?

Are you wondering if you’ll ever be able to trust God again as a Christian mom?

Faith For Autism Moms is a Christian podcast for autism moms and disability parents who are trying to hold onto their faith while raising an autistic or medically complex child. This podcast offers biblical encouragement, spiritual healing, and Christian support for disability parenting when faith feels fragile, painful, or distant.

Each episode helps Christian autism moms:

  • Rebuild faith in God after an autism or rare disease diagnosis

  • Navigate grief, anger, doubt, and unanswered prayers through Scripture

  • Find Christian support while parenting a child with autism or disabilities

  • Strengthen their relationship with God in the hardest seasons of motherhood

Hi, I’m Ash! Mom of two (one autistic with a rare disease), wife, ordained ministry coach, and former Disney princess turned reverend.

When my son was diagnosed with a rare disease at just seven months old, my faith in God was shaken. I prayed, begged, and pleaded and was met with silence. As a Christian mom raising an autistic, medically complex child, I felt abandoned by the very God I trusted.

Through Scripture, spiritual growth, and deep healing, I discovered that much of what I believed about God was incomplete and sometimes wrong. God didn’t leave me. He met me in the pain. And everything changed.

Now, through Faith For Autism Moms, I help Christian moms raising autistic children and children with disabilities reconnect with God, rebuild faith, and become mighty in their walk with Him.

If you’re an autism mom, a disability parent, or a Christian mom searching for God again, you’re in the right place.

So grab a cozy blanket, take a deep breath, and let’s strengthen your faith in God, for good.

  • 45 | God Says You Can Step Back: How Christian Autism Moms Protect Their Peace
    Jan 20 2026

Why do people feel entitled to judge your emotions while refusing to understand your life? What does God actually say you should do when you feel the scream rising in your chest? Is stepping away selfish—or Biblical?

    Episode Highlights

    • The emotional pressure autism + medical moms face when constantly explaining themselves • Why people misunderstand your reactions, tone, and emotional exhaustion • The surprising truth in Isaiah 26:20 and how it applies directly to motherhood • Why stepping away is not weakness but spiritual wisdom • Jesus’ pattern of withdrawing to protect His heart • Practical, real-life phrases to help you step away without guilt • A prayer of restoration and peace over every overwhelmed mom listening

    Episode Summary

In this episode, we’re diving deep into a struggle nearly every autism and medically complex mom knows too well: being misunderstood, judged, or questioned for emotions rooted in an invisible mental load. When you’re carrying therapies, triggers, medical decisions, routines, safety plans, and exhaustion. Your reactions are not “dramatic.” They’re human.

And yet, people still expect you to explain yourself.

This episode breaks down Isaiah 26:20 in a way you may have never heard before—showing how God invites you to step away, shut the door, and let Him handle storms that were never yours to stand in. We explore how Jesus modeled this same pattern of rest and retreat, and why taking space is not selfish… it’s sacred. If you’ve been feeling misunderstood, judged, or overstimulated, this episode will speak directly to your heart and give you permission to protect your peace in a Biblical, God-honoring way.

  • 44 | Feeling Misunderstood as an Autism Mom? How God Sees You When You Don’t Get Validation from Others
    Jan 13 2026

Why do autism moms so often feel unseen, dismissed, or emotionally invalidated—even by the people closest to them? How does constant misunderstanding impact your stress, mental health, and faith? And what changes when you stop seeking validation from others and start seeking it from God?

In this episode, Ash speaks directly to Christian autism moms and disability moms who are emotionally exhausted from explaining their reality to people who don’t understand. If you’ve ever shared your struggles only to hear “all kids do that” or felt minimized for how hard this life truly is, this message is for you.

Using Psalm 73:23–25, we explore how God sees every unseen sacrifice, every moment of emotional labor, and every quiet act of love you carry as a caregiver. You’ll also learn the science behind emotional invalidation, how it dysregulates the nervous system, and why seeking human validation often leaves you feeling more drained, anxious, and alone.

Most importantly, this episode invites you to experience the peace, confidence, and inner stability that comes from resting in God’s affirmation instead of human approval. You’ll walk away with practical, faith-based steps to stop chasing validation, feel spiritually grounded, and remember that you are deeply known and never abandoned by God.

  • 43 | God Wants You to Sleep: How Autism Moms Can Find Rest and Why It Is Biblical
    Jan 6 2026

What if your exhaustion isn’t weakness — but a sign God is asking you to slow down?

How can you prioritize sleep when your child’s needs feel constant and nonstop?

What does the Bible actually say about rest for moms carrying the emotional load of autism and medical complexities?

    Highlights of the Episode

    • Why God designed your body to need sleep and what happens when you don’t get enough

    • The emotional and spiritual toll of being the primary support person for an autistic or medically complex child

    • How Ecclesiastes 5:12 and Psalm 127:2 offer a biblical command and blessing for rest

    • What science reveals about sleep, stress, hormones, and emotional regulation

    • Real-life pressures moms face when rest feels impossible

    • Practical steps to begin prioritizing sleep without guilt

In this episode, we dive deep into the message God placed on my heart: “Ash, you need to sleep.” And I knew this wasn’t just for me. It was for every mom carrying the emotional, physical, and spiritual weight of raising an autistic or medically complex child.

We talk about the frustration of being told to “sleep more,” why it feels impossible, and why the exhaustion you're experiencing is not a personal failure. It's a sign you’re carrying more than most people even see.

Together, we explore Ecclesiastes 5:12, Psalm 127:2, and Isaiah 40:29–31, unpacking how God created your body for rest and calls sleep a gift for His beloved. We also look at the science of sleep. How it repairs your body, regulates stress, processes emotions, and strengthens your immune system. And why sleep deprivation hits autism moms especially hard.

If you're the “one person” your child depends on, this episode will help you release guilt, ask for help, and start honoring your body as God’s creation. You will walk away with clarity, practical steps, and a renewed understanding that rest is holy, and God wants you restored.

    Scriptures:

    • Ecclesiastes 5:12

    • Psalm 127:2

    • Isaiah 40:29–31
