  • When Thanksgiving Changes
    Nov 27 2025

Thanksgiving used to be my favorite day — 50–60 family members gathered in my grandma’s home in Abilene, the one place that felt safe growing up.

    But adulthood changed everything.

The same Thanksgiving I became a single mom was the last one my grandma hosted… and the moment I realized my biological dad was not safe for me or my babies.

Last year, after trying to rebuild family relationships, things exploded so badly that I’m now completely no-contact for the safety of my husband and children.

    And this year?

We’re home with a stomach virus instead of with the family who’s always loved us like their own.

    But I’m learning something:

    Different doesn’t mean failure.

Sometimes God reroutes us to protect us — even when it hurts.

If your Thanksgiving feels messy, lonely, or nothing like you planned, this episode is for you.

    Scriptures:

    Psalm 147:3

    Romans 8:28

  • Episode 8: When God Strips You Down to Save You
    Nov 25 2025

In this raw, pivotal chapter of my story, I share the season where everything I built was taken from me — my independence, my home, my possessions, my identity — and how God used that stripping to rebuild me from the ground up.

From bedrest at 25 weeks pregnant, to accidentally birthing Grace N Grit Designs, to losing every belonging I owned in a mold-infested home, this episode walks through the moment God pressed, squeezed, and remade me into someone new.

If you’re walking through loss, confusion, or transition… this one will speak straight into your heart and remind you that even in the breaking, God is still working.

  • Finding a Safe Place to Rise
    Nov 18 2025

In this episode, Katie shares the heart and healing behind creating The Freedom Foundry — a safe, faith-centered community for women rebuilding their lives after trauma, heartbreak, or hard seasons.

Social media memories used to drag Katie backward into the pain she fought so hard to escape. She realized she needed a protected space to grow — one not tied to old timelines, old posts, or old versions of herself. And she knew other women needed that same kind of refuge.

Inside this conversation, Katie opens up about:

    • Why she chose a platform outside of traditional social media

    • How God used her hardest seasons to shape The Freedom Foundry

    • What women can expect inside this new community

    • Why healing requires connection, encouragement, and a safe place to rise

    • How this space supports women in rebuilding their identity and walking in freedom

This episode is an invitation into the deeper mission behind Katie’s work — a home where your past doesn’t define you, your healing is honored, and your growth is protected.

Welcome to The Freedom Foundry. This is where freedom gets forged.
