Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) वो निवेश होता हैं, जो दुनिया भर की कंपनियां आपके या किसी भी देश के किसी एक या फिर कई सेक्टर्स पर लगाती हैं. भारत में FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) कुछ sectors में कभी कभी बहुत तेज़ी से बढ़ता हैं, और कुछ में कभी बहुत तेज़ी से कम भी होता हैं. जैसे की 2000 से 2006 तक IT sector में FDI बहुत तेज़ी से बढ़ा था, और इससे बहुत अच्छे रोज़गार भी उपलब्ध हुए थे . पर 2008 के बाद FDI, IT सेक्टर में नीचे चला गया. अगर आपके सेक्टर का FDI growth बहुत अच्छा हैं, तो न सिर्फ आपके रोज़गार के अवसर बढ़ जाते हैं, बल्कि आपकी और आपकी कंपनी की income भी बहुत तेज़ी से बढ़ सकती हैं. पर FDI का flow हमेशा एक जैसा नहीं रहता.
