Trends come and go, and obsessions fade. Social media often gives influencers and creatives a false sense of stability. As people's interests change, many struggle to keep up by evolving. Instead, they latch onto whatever they can to maintain their status and similar quality of life. However, everything comes to an end sometimes, and many social media gains are short-lived, with an ever-revolving door of new waves of influencers replacing the previous ones. I can see people's interests shifting significantly towards investing in themselves rather than in ungrateful, self-righteous, and famous fakes. Eventually, people will recognise that watching and investing in others' success at the expense of their own only furthers their misery and stagnation. By shifting their focus onto themselves, they can uplift their lives and have the positive experiences that others boastfully flaunt to them.
