Press Release 7 asks was a White Shelby County criminal court judge’s repeated instances of overt and covert disrespect towards Black defendant Vern Braswell, her failure to protect the integrity of withheld evidence by prosecutors, and her inaccurate conclusions used to deny this Black murder defendant, evidence of a Shelby County Jim Crow Justice system?
Braswell probably needed a 1968 "I AM MAN" sign to remind the Judge that he was a man, and NOT three-fifths of a man!
Judge seems to back off issue of hiding potential evidence of innocence because head District Attorney General Amy P Weirich’s initials were on the sealed envelope of evidence.
Judge even seemed okay with evidence in the prosecutors’ possession mysteriously disappearing.
