Narada tells Yudhishthir that one must not have any attachments or desires for anyone or anything once one is ready for Vanaprastashram.

Narada comes to Hastinapur to solve the mystery of the disappearance of the two uncles of Yudhishthir.

Narada tells him why Dhritarashtra and Vidura along with Gandhari left for Himalayas on way to Vanaprastashram as that's what humans are supposed to do once their worldly duties and desires are over.

Vidura tells Dhritarashtra that it isn't proper to stay in the enemy's world and enjoy your old days. One should immediately start for Sanyas ashram and leave the kingdom to search for peace and oneness with the Divine Lord Krishna.

Dhritarashtra takes the advice and sets off for the Himalayas along with his wife and Vidura.

Vidura condones Dhritarashtra that he has lived life long enough and his desire for enjoyment hasn't bated. Once man has reached a certain age he has to give up all his material worldly desires and go towards renunciation.

After the birth of Parikshit, all the sages come and bless the child. They celebrate his birth and talk about his future. Then once the celebrations are over Yudhistir has to think of his empty treasury since yhe war. He gets the funds needed to perform all yagnas from neighbouring kings with the advice of Shri Krishna.
