  • Gather 'round you cats and chicks and moldy figs. We are about to take a trip in the way back machine to a time when New Orleans was more known for influenza than for beads. In 1918 (possibly 1911 but that's debatable), a jazzy, caguely poetic monster was demanding New Orleaneans play his favorite jazz tunes or he would take his axe to their noggins. It was all very bizarre and that's the way we like it. So, join us for The Axeman of New Orleans, ya bunch of barn burners.

The flue

Baby sound?

Look up the sound a FISHER CAT makes. Fisher cats are nasty creatures there a combination of a Tasmanian devil and something else ( I know it but I can’t remember what at the moment) but they sound like a baby being killed. They are VERY dangerous! And will kill cats, dogs, and wild animals... SERIOUSLY look it them up. Especially if you have any outside pets you should most definitely be aware if you guys have Fisher cats I live in Newtown CT (ALA Sandyhook Elementary school shooting) and we have them here. So it’s not out of the realm of possibility that you guys would have them too

Everyone loves a mystery

I absolutely LOVE these unidentified killers! Like it sucks that these people get away with such awful things, but the mystery of who these people are is so fun to dive into.

I also enjoyed the Spanish Flu touch in this episode. It was a nice history refresher.

This episode of Morbid is surreal!

How crazy is it to hear this podcast talking about the Spanish Flu a few years BEFORE COVID-19. Here I am on self-isolation trying to entertain myself while under quarantine and I hear them talking about stuff that we've been experiencing for the past year! This is bananas!
