wow! I went into this blind

I never thought this pod cast would "relatable". I thought it would just the an interesting story. I feel John and my ex-husband have so many traits in common. It took me 5 trying to leave! Be strong, the men in you life do NOT define you.

All women should listen!

I have a personal connection to the “Dirty John” story because John and I were in the same small class at MTSA, where we completed our anesthesia training. It’s been really hard to reconcile the John that I knew (or thought I knew) to the events that eventually lead to the end of his life.

But there is so much more to the story. John was first married to Tonia Sells Bales , who is also a CRNA. She recently released a podcast that I stumbled upon last week and has been on my mind ever since. I have so much respect for this woman who lived through the dangerous threats and perilous lies of John. How she was able to protect her young children and emerge a stronger woman, is truly a story of perseverance and inner strength. It’s also given me a lot to think about as I watch my own daughters get closer to entering adulthood. It’s a good lesson for all women. I encourage you to listen.

The strength of the women involved in these relationships with such an evil man and survived is absolutely incredible! Tonia’s daughter, so wise beyond her years is such a tribute to her mother Tonia! This podcast is intriguing and exciting for the listener!

I've watched both Dirty John series and wondered what else there could be to say. well, the answer is 'plenty'. This is a gripping podcast which exposes more dirt on John, but mostly lets us get to know his amazing first wife and her daughters. True survivors who inspire others. Do yourself a favour and listen to this.
