Rudy Vorkapic, originally from Chicago, came to New Orleans the year prior to Katrina. He founded and produced the satirical newspaper called The Levee with its motto, “We hold nothing back.” First newspaper to call out the USACE for its primary role in the flooding.
Sandy Parker is a New Orleans filmmaker and real estate agent who was inspired to move back to the area from Oregon after Hurricane Katrina.
