I think that many parts of our history have been hidden or downplayed because people are ashamed. It’s important to learn from our mistakes. How can we learn from mistakes that are hidden? I’m grateful to Rachel Maddow for telling this story. It makes me determined to step up and protest the actions of a powerful government that seems to have forgotten the truth that really makes America great. “We the people” includes all of us from all of our diverse backgrounds.

I am astonished that I never learned about this in history class

History doesn’t repeat its self only people do. Until accurate history is taught they will.

Rachel's ending summary of the storyline in episode 6 is behond excellent. She is a national treasure of the Ken Burns level.

What stood out the most was the blatant denials of the officials involved.

Fantastic! No one does it better than Rachel. Research and presentation are always top notch. Uncovering (digging deep) and clearly explaining this shameful period in our history. Congratulations on a another exceptional production!

Rachel Maddow and the team researched and put together a compelling story about the horrors of prejudice hi in our own country. It makes me want to know more about this topic (will read Peter Iron’s book too) and about our present day. Need to not repeat this horrific history. We can always do better.

A must read.
