Nico's husband, Mark, was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2014 and given 12-18 months to live. However, he survived for several years, and Nico shares the story of living with someone who is terminally ill and how she involved their young children.

Despite the challenges, Nico and her family found ways to thrive. She describes how her children have grown into emotionally mature and empathetic individuals, it really is a testament to the power and love of a family.
