It is described on the DVD box as one of the greatest zombie movies of all time. This is a huge exaggeration. There are 2 zombies. 2 and a half really come the end. It tells the story of 3 survivors, Ana, perky and inconsistent, dull engineer Jonathan and creepy weirdo Axel. Axel is tattooing dead flies on his entire body, with the idea that he will leave once covered. That level of weirdo.
Apartment survival horror at it's worst. The picked a one bedroom shack with a fly problem and no real security as a home. They surrounded it with microphones that play the noises of outside to them via huge Tannoy speakers.
They live by rules. No one leaves alone. Someone must always stay behind. All votes must be unanimous. And I can get on board with some rule making the apocalypse to survive.
But we soon lose focus, as Jonathan wants to leave, and therefore wants Ana to be with Axel, the creepy weirdo tattooed with dead flies.
Not a lot happens. They capture a zombie. They sneak into their Big Brother style video confession booth to watch each other's videos. And they play Risk. That's about it.
I was more interested in seeing the US 20 minute long short with the same name but can't find it anyway. This one? Avoid. All 3 Argentine zombie movies we have seen are not great, despite what is written on the DVD cover.
4/10 a long ass slog
