When Metalheads think of Pantera, 1990's Cowboys from Hell is almost always the first thing to come to mind. With seminal classics like "Cowboys from Hell," "Domination," and "Cemetery Gates," everybody knows the audio onslaught that is Pantera's major label debut. But, what most fans don't know is that Pantera had 4 ALBUMS under their belt as a band BEFORE releasing Cowboys Hell. In this episode, CJ & Motley talk about Power Metal, Pantera's 3rd full-length record and 1st with a young Phil Anselmo on vocals. This album bridges the gap between Pantera's early Hair/Glam Metal days and their monumental Groove Metal sound of the 1990s with a handful of tracks that fall somewhere in between Judas Priest's Screaming for Vengeance and Metallica's Kill 'Em All.
