I was struck by a car while pushing a disabled vehicle and briefly died, awakening first to darkness and then to a radiant light where I observed my body from above in a state of complete peace and euphoria. I encountered a presence and a vast, flowing “river of life,” understood as a collective consciousness containing all experiences, where individuality and unity existed simultaneously. Within this knowing, I experienced the life of Jesus as a human being who taught that death is not to be feared and that love, equality, and spiritual awakening are humanity’s true nature. I felt this realm was home and longed to remain, but was shown that I must return to endure pain that would shape me. I then fell back into my body, later undergoing surgery, carrying with me a lasting understanding of unity, love, and the continuity of consciousness.
