She’s the one who managed to hold her own among Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, and David Spade on SNL, which is a bit like performing Shakespeare in the middle of a high-speed food fight. You also know her as the suspiciously patient wife in Men in Black, and, of course, as the bus driver in Forrest Gump, a role that, in retrospect, feels like she was personally tasked with transporting American cinema from one iconic moment to the next.
