  • Leptospirosis is endemic in certain areas such as South-East Asia and South America, but in Australia's New South Wales this disease is making a resurgence after having no cases since 1976. In this podcast, we will review the pathogenesis and clinical signs of leptospirosis both in cats and dogs, look at the distribution of the current outbreak in NSW and what can be done to prevent this disease from becoming endemic, and look at the latest updates on treatment and prognosis.
