In December 1968, Barbara Jane Mackle had come down with the flu. She felt so poorly that she had to cut out of an exam early and head to a hotel where her mother took care of her. At 4 a.m., kidnappers knocked on the door and took Barbara by force. They demanded her father hand over $500k or risk his daughter dying underground. Gary Crist and Ruth Eisemann-Schier buried Barbara in a coffin outside of Atlanta, GA, with enough provisions to last her seven days. We'll uncover the kidnapper's motive, why Barbara was a prime target and how this sordid tale found its way to a happy ending. Happy haunting!
