Episode 16 - Dahlia Powdery Mildew, Detailed Seed Collection Processes, Bulbs and Making Leafmould

Cooler nights can bring powdery mildew problems for dahlias, so we'll talk about a simple spray to extend the growth of our plants. Serious seed storage is happening, but the process is unique to each variety; I'll discuss the processes I use for simple seeds as well as those with more chaff like cosmos, asters, and dahlias. Finally, it's time to plant bulbs and to save time by no longer carting leaves away, instead turning them into a soil conditioner called leafmould.
