Drummer, Poet, DJ, Hip Hop Producer, MC and critical catalyst for the inspiration behind The Lot on Main Cassidy Cantwell joins The Art Revolution Podcast to talk music, community and creativity. Hailing from Willits, California Cassidy was introduced to music early by his father, local musician Michael Cantwell-keyboardist for Blue Luke and former instructor at Calpella Elementary School. Cassidy plays in multiple bands down in Sonoma County: Parade Garden, Under A New Sun and is the drummer in the backing band for neo-soul singer Simone Mosley. He also performs solo as an MC, producing his own beats and spitting his own rhymes. You can find his music on the outro to this episode and on Instagram @cassmakesmusic. Cass goes way back with Nick our host, to their high school dayz and the two reminisce about playing baseball together and hosting underground art and hip-hop events like Flight 707 at Leopold Collective in Willits. Together, this dynamic duo have collaborated on numerous underground music and art events creating a synergy of creative optimism and friendship.
