[[[A Psalm] of David.]] The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? -Psalms 27:1
DEVOTION
Based on Psalm 27
David asks fear two questions it cannot answer. 'Light' dispels darkness of confusion; 'salvation' delivers from danger. 'Strength of my life' literally means 'fortress of my life.' With God as illumination, deliverance, and defense, fear becomes illogical. 'Whom shall I fear?' expects no answer because none exists. When the Lord fills all protective roles, threats shrink to their true size—nothing compared to God.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Lord God, You are my light in darkness, salvation in danger, strength in weakness. Fear has no answer to Your presence. I worship You, divine Protector.
CONFESSION: I confess fearing people and circumstances more than trusting You.
THANKSGIVING: Thank You for being all I need for fearless living.
SUPPLICATION: Be my light, salvation, and strength against today's fears.
PRAYER
Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before his presence with singing.
PSALM 100:2
Dear Lord, as I enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise, I seek Your divine rest. Your word says that we can do all things through You who strengthens us, but right now, my strength is failing me, and my soul yearns for rest. Lord, I thank You for all the blessings You have given me, and I bless Your name. I know You are a faithful God who never sleeps nor slumbers, and I trust Your unfailing love. Please grant me the rest that my body and soul need. May the peace of Your presence surround me, and may Your love and mercy fill me to overflowing. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. 🙏🏾
