Join your hosts Jacqueline and Augustus of the experimental pop band The Galaxy Electric as they get cosmic on the topic of Pierre Schaeffer. Thought of by many as the godfather of sampling, he was known as one of the original purveyors of what is now known as musique concrète. He was also the founder of Groupe de Recherche de Musique Concrète also known as GRMC/GRM which led to him setting up a studio with a tape recorder that he would learn to master and use as his sole music making device.
