Episode 02: SYNC.EXE

For the second episode of Chillhop Talks, vhsgus interviews sync.exe, a Contemporary Lo-Fi artist, from Elkton, Maryland. We dive into how we started composing tracks, avoiding sample libraries like Splice, and why you should Shazam your creations. We talk about the setbacks and time constraints we encounter as we evolve as musicians. Finding the right balance and prioritizing music is key when producing and promoting singles on top of our hobbies, work, school, friends, and family. 

We also explore the dark side of record labels in the lo-fi space and the challenges we have encountered working with smaller lo-fi labels. Communication is important in all relationships, specifically working with labels. We talk about facing rejection from labels, moving forward, and finding the right place for our music.
