*After 144 magical episodes, we decided to change our name to better show that we stand with the trans community. We are unable to change our name within those episodes, but will be using For Fawkes’ Sake starting at episode 145 and going forward! New name, same magical Harry Potter compare and contrast!*

Join Ellen and Keighty as we continue with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, covering the first half of Chapter Five (The Order of the Phoenix) and the corresponding film scenes.

While we love Harry Potter, we do not condone or agree with its creator’s ignorant opinions. We stand with the trans community.

We post weekly podcast episodes comparing and contrasting the Harry Potter books to the movies, Potter Ponderings, a weekly trivia question (that can win you a sticker!), Sorting Hat Stories, and other Harry Potter related fun! Please subscribe and join us as we delve into our favorite book series and the films that brought them to life.

I think Harry's summer and Sirius's summer were quite different and therefore difficult to compare. Harry is an angsty teenager who was angry at everyone for leaving him in the dark, and then to top it off he got in trouble for saving his own and his cousin's lives when they got attacked by dementors. Whereas Sirius is super bored and literally cannot even step outside the house and feel the fresh air, which is giving me major quarantine vibes. Both summers suck.

Also, I was disappointed at how little time was spent at Grimauld Place in the movie, and I enjoyed this dinner scene in the book, so I was disappointed that it was left out.
