Today’s movie is September 5 directed by Tim Fehlbaum.

There’s a lot to like about September 5. The detailed production design makes the film feel extremely immersive, almost as thought it was actually shot in the 1970s. But for all the attention to detail and excellent acting, the movie ends up feeling ephemeral and ultimately forgettable, in large part due to its short runtime and limited ability to show locations outside of the studio. Still, it’s worth a watch.
