The holidays are around the corner and with visiting family inevitably comes arguing with your weird uncle about some insane thing happening in the news. There’s a time and place for walking away from discussions about politics—we can recommend this action highly—but maybe there’s a time for you to engage, too. All of us are more alike than we are different, and when we lead with curiosity and truly listen to others, finding common ground (and peace!) is possible, too. Unless the person you’re talking to is insane. We can’t help you there.
No one likes a control freak [5:07]
There’s some crazy news every day [9:19]
When holding your tongue feels impossible [12:09]
A battle of morals and self-righteousness [15:17]
When to call it out and when to leave it alone [20:06]
Actually listening to a different perspective [23:59]
We’re more alike than we are different [26:55]
It’s okay to keep your distance, too [28:12]
