The first chapter about the Spanish conquistadors was the best. I also liked the exploration chapter. The description of the world deepest mine was interesting. It added to my base knowledge of the precious metal.

Overall, the series was descent. Episode 1 started off really strong, but as we neared the end, the cracks began to show. Saying things like, "look at this" and "here we can see" really just beg for some sort of accompanying imagery. What REALLY upset me was the final episode and some of the outright lies and misconceptions perpetrated about gold, some of which were directly contradicted earlier in the series! IF you're going to listen, be prepared for an experience similar to listening to a television program without actually watching it, but also, when you get to episode 6, take it with a HUGE grain of salt - at least get a second opinion.
