Friendly reminder, this is a docuseries, so it's best if you watch Ep. 4 before this one so it all makes sense. In this episode I talk about the following 4 years of my life during my college career at Seton Hall University. I explain what life as a former foster kid turned adopted kid, looked like - including but not limited to homeless summers. We touch upon sibling rivalry fueled by toxic parenting as a form of control and manipulation. There's a pretty gnarly roommate horror story that I share as well. We also continue last episode's theme of identity issues and close finally that chapter. However, the main theme of this episode is how I learned to put healthy boundaries in place, and what it required to "stand on business" when those boundaries were tested. Is toxic treatment from family something that you have to just live with, or can putting healthy boundaries in place catapult your healing journey and be a form of self-love? Listen and learn.🎧

My call to action for the episode (never done this before) - get DYFS and CPS eyes on this. Let's EXPOSE the holes of the foster care system. Let this video testimonial be the voice that ignites the overdue reform to our system so that children get the love and support they need for healthy childhood experiences that will not require years of therapy to be a successful contributing members of society.
