Ep 5: Beatrix Ong

In this episode Scott and Susan sit down with London based Designer, Beatrix Ong MBE. From grunge to babydoll dresses, we hear why the excitement of the 90s plays an integral role in forming her own unique style and aesthetic. Beatrix’s influences don't stop there; paying homage to classic films’ 'In The Mood For Love' and Baz Luhrmann's 'Romeo and Juliet’, as well as musical style icon David Bowie. We then hear about Ong’s transition to Creative Director at Jimmy Choo at the age of just 22, her eponymous shoe range launching in the early 2000’s, her sustainability vision with her new eco brand The Company of X, and the importance she places on dressing for comfort.
