Ep. 11 - Is Humanity Lost? The Metaverse

We discuss our thoughts on the metaverse. It seems like everyone is curious how the metaverse will affect our reality and our humanity. 

The metaverse is a virtual reality world that is shared by people without them needing to be in the same physical location. We talk about far fetched ideas of what this can do to us as a species. 

We reference movies like Surrogates from 2009, Ready Player One from 2018, and of course The Matrix 1999. These movies are somewhat of a modal/goal of the metaverse to become our primary form of communication. 

Will we work and live 100% in the metaverse?

What will happen to our physical bodies?

When will this happen?

Tatiana and I speculate on the possible futures this technology can bring us. There are some very strong thoughts regarding losing ourselves and our grasp on true reality.

Are we losing a grip on our current reality, or is this just our current simulation?
