Encouragement Along the Way

The race to heaven is a marathon. But it is not like a normal marathon where the spectators are cheering you on. It's like some freak marathon where the spectators are there to push you down and hinder your race. But be encouraged believer! There is encouragement to be had! And here it is -- the prize waiting for you at the finish line -- the crown of life. Eternal life, not earned, like when runner receives a gold medal - but given as a gift. A gift to whom? ".. the one who perseveres under trail, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." - James 1:12
