  • The power of perspective EEI ep 7
    Feb 15 2026

Pastor Phil dives deep into Psalm 23

The first part of this famous poem invites us to shift our perspective in 3 ways:

    1. from a scarcity to an abundance mindset
    2. from a resistance to rest to seeing rest as resistance
    3. from understanding righteousness as adherence to a moral code to seeing it as corresponding to the character of God

    Questions to Ask:

Why did God choose the image of a shepherd for himself and not some other occupation?

What things do you feel are lacking from your life?

How can you see things differently and discover what God has already given you?

What is a scarcity mindset and how does God challenge us to believe in abundance?

(Google scarcity mindset vs abundance mindset)

Why is it difficult for you to rest?

How do you or will you take care of yourself through soul-care?

    Things to do:

Think about ways to be more gracious, compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love this week!

Pray Psalm 23 on a regular basis

Get outside or bring nature inside and spend time observing God’s creation
