Hey Swoop, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for December 1 through December 8. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—the Career and Professional Development office has moved to the newly renovated Pathways Center in the B. Jones Center. All in-person services are now virtual for the rest of the fall semester. The Career Closet is temporarily unavailable and will reopen in Spring 2026. Next—the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is happening this Friday and Saturday at Glenn Memorial Auditorium. This candlelit choral concert is a cherished Emory tradition. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online. Finally—the Emory Jazz Ensembles are performing a free concert on Tuesday, December 2, at 8 p.m. in the Schwartz Center. No tickets are required, so swing by and enjoy some great music. Over the weekend, the Emory Eagles men's basketball team clinched a thrilling victory against their rivals, showcasing exceptional teamwork and determination. Star player Alex Johnson led the charge with a standout performance, earning him Player of the Game honors. Looking ahead, the Eagles are set to face off against the University of Atlanta this Saturday at home. Be sure to come out and support our team! This Thursday, December 4, at 6 p.m., the Arts & Social Justice Program is hosting a Project Showcase & Community Conversation. It's an evening of performances and exhibits highlighting how students use creativity to spark social change. Light refreshments will be provided, and the event is free and open to the public. On the dining front, Dobbs Common Table is featuring selected global dishes for lunch and dinner throughout the week as part of the "Going Global" initiative. It's a great opportunity to explore international flavors right here on campus. This week in Atlanta, expect mostly cloudy skies with occasional rain. Temperatures will range from the mid-40s to low 50s. Friday looks particularly chilly with occasional rain, so keep an eye out for ponding on roadways. Remember to dress in layers and carry an umbrella to stay comfortable and dry. Your move: Don't miss the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols this weekend. Tickets are selling fast, so grab yours online today to secure your spot at this beloved Emory tradition. That's your quick Campus Update. I'm Jenny—catch you next Monday morning.
