  • S5 | EP1 | She Survived the Fire | Interview with Avonley
    Jan 29 2026
Season 5 begins with a story of survival, faith, and redemption.

Today’s guest, Avonley Lightstone, is the author of Strength of Scars, a powerful autobiography that walks readers through a childhood marked by tragedy, trauma, abuse, and unimaginable loss, and the unwavering faith that carried her through it all.

At just three years old, Avonley tried to save her mother from a house fire. Her mother did not survive, and shortly after, her father placed her up for adoption. What followed were years of emotional, physical, and mental abuse. But her story did not end in brokenness.

Through faith in God, deep healing, and courageous forgiveness, Avonley found strength in her scars and now helps others do the same. In this episode, she shares how God carried her through the darkest valleys, how she learned to release bitterness, and how listeners can discover purpose beyond pain.

Her story is raw. Her testimony is real. And her message is clear: your scars do not disqualify you, they can become your strength.

  • Season 5: Positioned for Power | New Year | Rebranded
    Jan 22 2026
Empower Podcast TV continues to amplify stories of individuals who have emerged from past trauma and turned their pain into purpose. This season features survivors, professionals, and leaders who share both their personal journeys and professional expertise, empowering others from a place of healing, clarity, and responsibility. These conversations remain trauma-informed, faith-rooted, and purpose-driven, highlighting how lived experience becomes preparation for leadership, service, and impact.

    Declarations for this Season:
    • Our healing was not in vain.
    • Our past prepared us for purpose.
    • Pain has become power to empower others.
    • We are positioned for responsibility, not performance.
    • Our voice is strengthened by what we survived.
    • This is a season of emergence, empowerment, and purpose.

Guided by Scripture, we stand on the truth that our steps are ordered by the Lord (Psalm 37:23), that we are created for good works prepared in advance (Ephesians 2:10), and that we are positioned for such a time as this (Esther 4:14).
