  • Elevate Up_Episode #7: Interview with Paul Bush "Authentic Relationships"
    May 16 2024

Welcome to Episode 7 on the Elevate Up Podcast where I have the sacred opportunity to unpack and share the nuggets of wisdom from the life, work, and impact of everyday heroes!

Today, I was so jazzed to sit down with my seventh hero, Paul Bush, who is the Lead Pastor of Highpoint Community Church in Orange Park, Florida. He is also my friend, pastor, and trusted advisor, which I consider an honor to know him behind the pulpit at church and behind the pulpit of life. He is married to his wonderful wife, Karis, and they have three beautiful children, Leeland, Addy and Arwin. He lives in Jacksonville, Florida.

In our conversation, Paul talks about his “superpower” of being real, transparent, vulnerable as a human-being first, and a pastor second. He is an honest leader who is grounded in his faith and committed to growing as a leader. Paul shared that the key to success as a leader is looking at the relationships in our lives and who we are taking with us on this journey. He talked about the value of friendship and being real with other people who also struggle in day-to-day life. He unlocked his daily routines, one of them is the “habit of grace,” which he uses to help him to let go of performance, fear, and self-shame.

Join me as Paul peels back the layers of his life to see what the “secret sauce” is of being a leader at home, church, and life as he deals with real challenges on the daily. He shows us that we are worthy, accepted and appreciated just as we are. Paul is the kind of pastor that I could hang out with any day of the week. He is real, he is raw, and I am proud to call him my friend and brother!

  • Elevate Up_Episode #6: Interview with Raylan Heck "Investing into Others"
    May 10 2024

Welcome to Episode 6 on the Elevate Up Podcast where I have the sacred opportunity to unpack and share the nuggets of wisdom from the life, work, and impact of everyday heroes!

Today, I was so pumped to sit down with my sixth hero, Raylan Heck, who is the Founder and Trusted Advisor within Warrior’s Peace https://www.warriorspeacecsi.com/ . He served in the Army for 10 years as a Ranger Instructor and now invests his life into mind, body and souls of people. He is married to his amazing wife, Joanne, and has two beautiful daughters, Ella, and Emma. He lives in Jacksonville, Florida.

In our conversation, Raylan talks about his “superpower” of being a man of “steel” and “velvet”, both firm and gracious as a leader. He shared how God shifted his life from being a tough Army Ranger on the outside to being a loving follower of Jesus on the inside. He modeled for us that being connected to ourselves and in community instills a life of purpose, accountability, and brotherhood. He demonstrated what being in a community is really about and how everyone really needs a place of connection and building a relationship of acceptance, love, and value. In effect, when we are in relationship with God and others, we live a fuller and more meaningful life.

Join me as Raylan peels back the layers of his life and how being transparent in ALL areas of his life becomes his walking testimony. What you see is what you get with Raylan, and I’m honored to have him as one of my most trusted advisors and best friends!!

  • Elevate Up_Episode #5: Interview with Ben Ruffner "Poised in the Pocket of Life"
    May 7 2024

Welcome to Episode 5 on the Elevate Up Podcast where I have the sacred opportunity to unpack and share the nuggets of wisdom from the life, work, and impact of everyday heroes!

Today, I was so pumped to sit down with my fifth hero, Ben Ruffner, who is a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army National Guard. He is literally my neighbor and first Florida friend since moving to the great state of Florida in July of 2022. He is married to Paula for 16 years and has 3 beautiful children, Marshall, Remington, and Camille. He lives in Jacksonville, Florida.

In our conversation, Ben talks about his “superpower” of being poised as a leader, grounded in his faith and how to be a servant leader. He shared how a leader must model how to serve both at home and work, while staying connected to their own growth by doing the “reps” in the early morning. He showed us that a leader must lead by example in directly engaging & interacting with their teams, getting to know “who they are” while increasing mutual trust and agreements. He demonstrated what an influential leader looks, sounds, and feels like in the 21st century.

Join me as Ben peels back the layers of what a leader looks like at home, work and play. There is a leader inside ALL of us, the question is who is helping bring out ALL of beauty within us along the way! Ben brings out the best in me and I know he will light a spark within you as well!!
