  • July 27, 2025: What Ball Through Yonder Goal Doth Break?
    Jul 28 2025

In this episode, the boys look back at the MLS All-Star Game and the recent clash between Nashville SC and San Diego with a little help from the Bard himself. It may not have been totally worth it to stay up late on Friday night to catch the game, but there were some terrific concerts worth going to this weekend instead. And while the boys show a lot of love for Joe Willis, they've got bones to pick with MLS ownership for their greed and general disinterest in the game of soccer. But that's okay, because Nashville is still having a great season, and the boys express the joy of 2025 through poetry before offering up some incredibly spicy (and slightly uncomfortable) takes about Walker Zimmerman's starting role. Finally, the boys look ahead to the friendly match against Aston Villa. Ryan is torn between two of his favorite teams, but in the end, they're all rooting for the gold and blue. And they drink beer.

  • July 20, 2025: In Praise of His Honor, Brian Joseph Callaghan II
    Jul 21 2025

In this episode, the boys celebrate a week of wins against Columbus and Toronto by remarking on the incredible resilience of the team, their ability to play a variety of different styles, and some sick passes by Andy Najar. There's also plenty of affection to go around for Sam Surridge as well, as his play has been incredible lately, and remind us again why Nashville isn't hosting the MLS all-star game? Anyway, with all these goals, there are lots of favorite things to honor, like St. Jude's Hospital, the beauty of synth wave music, fond memories of Greer Stadium (Nashville OG's know what we mean), and believe or not, Microsoft Excel. And is someone from the Nashville SC marketing team listening to our podcast, or are we just kindred spirits? To wrap up, the boys gaze into their balls - crystal balls, that is - and predict some bold and exciting outcomes for the upcoming game versus San Diego. And they drink beer.

  • July 14, 2025: WE NEED PARACHUTE PANTS IN GOAL
    Jul 15 2025

In this episode, the boys pour one out for the Nashville SC undefeated streak, which finally came to an end against Inter Miami. And sure, they could throw around blame to Joe Willis or Eddi Tagseth, but the real blame goes to the belief that parachute pants are way less frictionless than Evan ever expected. Meanwhile, Johnny Perez is a revelation, and Hany Mukhtar is still the real MVP. The guys show some love for another amazing podcast, The Best Show with Tom Scharpling, before making some trade suggestions to nab an improvement in goalkeeper. Finally, they rub on their crystal balls to see this week's future for NSC as they face both Columbus Crew and Toronto P.U. And they drink beer.

  • July 6, 2025: The Time That Jon Raw Dawged the Podcast
    Jul 7 2025

In this episode, with absolutely no preparation or knowledge of the game against Philly, Jon attempts to talk intelligently about the team's performance. Ryan and Evan assemble a myriad of trivia questions to see if Jon can guess the outcome of the game, and then once the result is revealed, they all celebrate an ASTOUNDING win by the boys in gold. Much praise is heaped on the legend Hany Mukhtar as well as young Johnny Long Sleeves and the rock of NSC, Patrick Yazbek. And of course, since it was Philly, there is much lamenting of the refs and all the missing fouls from the game. The boys celebrate the winning penalty kick by highlighting the wonder of McKay's Used Books and Music, and they also discuss how amazing the fans were at the Philly game, and how it was the crowd that made the real difference. Then, they dust off the crystal balls to make predictions for the upcoming Open Cup game versus DC and a serious challenge looming with Miami. And they drink beer.

  • June 30, 2025: We Are For Real
    Jul 1 2025

In this episode, the boys find that there's a lot to be happy about. Whether it's gathering 6 points on the road, Sam Surridge grabbing the Golden Boot race by the horns, indispensable role players like Jack Maher and Patrick Yazbek, or the brilliance of Coach Callaghan putting youth on the field, there's a lot to be excited about. And while there's time to spit on the atrocity known as Club World Cup and share melancholy feelings about missing Eddi Tagseth in the game against DC, the real worries come when the boys consider the possibility that Walker Zimmerman's time with the team might not be that much longer. But enough about that, because the boys have to dig into the mailbag to field hot takes and questions from our listeners. And then, they break out the crystal balls to foresee what promises to be an epic showdown with Philly this upcoming weekend. And they drink beer.

  • June 26, 2025: The Secret Life of Sam Surridge
    Jun 27 2025

In this very special episode, the boys skip the fanfare and get right to it. They review the big win for NSC against New England on the road where Sam Surridge once again proved his dominance. They list off his accomplishments as well as those of Hany Mukhtar, and yet, neither one has made an all-star team? What could explain such an oversight? Well, there's really only one explanation (or two... or three...) and it must be a conspiracy! The boys put on their tin foil hats to get to the bottom of the Surridge all-star snub. Then, they share some of their favorite music from the past, including possibly the greatest song ever written, the most fun music revival of the mid-90's, and perhaps the scariest concert that ever occurred at Vanderbilt Memorial Gym. And they drink beer.

  • June 16, 2025: Who's Your Daddy? (Joe Is)
    Jun 17 2025

The boys get back into action with this Father's Day episode. They get started by celebrating a great victory for Nashville SC on the road versus Chicago, observing the various ways the team has found wins this season. They continue to praise the many offseason moves that have led to the team's success this season, and they also have a rare shout-out to Joe Willis for his performance in the game. They think fondly about growing up playing Nintendo, and they share the joys of exploring abandoned malls, including one soon-to-be-destroyed Rivergate Mall. They get bullish on the rest of NSC's season, title potential and likely All-Stars. And then, they polish off the crystal balls and make some bold predictions about the next game against New England. And they drink beer.

  • June 2, 2025: Super Sam & Super Groups
    Jun 3 2025

In this episode, the boys celebrate a successful, lossless month of May for Nashville SC with draws against Columbus and NYC. They discuss that they've learned about incredible depth on the roster, and they chat about how great day games are. They also highlight the impressive run for Sam Surridge, who is scoring at will these days. They also reflect on the incredible influence of Looney Tunes cartoons, the amazing collection of rock super groups over the decades, the importance of libraries, and the dangers of loneliness for chameleons. And after a quick chat about the genius of the TV show The Wire, they worry about the problems the team has with the goalie position. Finally, they remark on how Evan accurately predicted the results of the entire month of May before making some forecasts for the game against Chicago in two weeks. And they drink beer.
