I'm so honored to have this very special mom in studio with me today! Please welcome Haliey Meske MSN, RN Children’s Wisconsin- Clinical Nurse Educator, Emergency Department Trauma Center ENPC/TNCC Instructor. Outside of being a ladyboss in the workforce, she's also a beauiful mother of two daughters Laine (9yrs) and Nora (5yrs) and happily married to her husband Mark! Hailey joins me today to share how blood cancer has touched her family. Her precious daugher Laine was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, when she was only 9 months old. Every parent's worst nightmare "your child has cancer." Today we will learn how this fierce and beaufiul mother not only stayed strong for her family, but was able to fight the biggest fight of her life her "daughter's." Hailey will share her daughter's cancer journey, where she got her strength from, where is Laine now in her cancer journey, what she hopes for her daughter's future and how this beautiful 9 year old is this years "HERO" when it comes to Blood Cancer United of Wisconsin "Visionaires of the Year."

More About Hailey!

BIO information: I am a mom to 2 girls: Laine 9 years old and Nora 5 years old. We also have a puppy named Tucker and a cat named Norman. We live in Lake Mills, WI. I am from Manitowoc, WI. I went to college in Waukesha at Carroll University for Nursing. Obtained my master’s degree in Nursing Education. I have practiced in a couple of different specialties including Adult Oncology, Adult Critical Care, and now Pediatric Emergency Medicine. I taught at the collegiate level for nursing education. I am now the Clinical Educator in the Emergency Department at Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee. My husband (Mark) and I met at our first nursing jobs at Waukesha Memorial. We both now work in pediatric medicine. We will be married for 10 years this June. In September of 2017, our 9 month old daughter Laine was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Thankfully Laine has been in remission for over 8 years.
