Sample 15:

Ballantruan Distiller

Age: 7 years

Cask: Hogshead; 225 - 250L

Nose: Soft spices and rich peat. Very punchy and intense, with inviting vanilla notes

Palate: Simple and balanced with a rich peat smoke and hints of black pepper

Finish: Intense and spicy with wood smoke and tar

Sample 10:

Auchroisk distillery

Age: 10 years

Cask: Hogshead; 225 - 250L

Nose: Light, with a playful zestiness. Creme anglaise, cut grass and delectable nuttiness.

Palate: Quite sweet with a pleasant softness

Finish: Soft, dry green cereal notes

Sample 19:

Tomintoul distillery

Age: 13 years

Cask: Barrel; 180 - 200L

Nose: Sweet butterscotch and dried fruits, caramelised nuts and smooth, creamy praline chocolate

Palate: Sheet, honeyed cereal with nutty notes, candied fruits and a delicate creaminess

Finish: Rounded Sherry and just a hint of spice
