It began in 2014 when Sage was a guest on "The View" and was asked by Barbara Walters why she chooses to identify as biracial instead of just black. 7 years later, Sage gave a similar answer when asked about it by former NFL QB Jay Cutler on his podcast, and it turned into a firestorm.
