The matter of life and death is viewed in many ways by many people. We are all born. We will all die. Those are facts. Indisputable. But what can be disputed is under what conditions we will die. Is it up to us, individually or even as a society? Or is that at God’s discretion?
Marcellus Williams was recently executed by the State of Missouri for a crime for which he was convicted that is now believed to have been in error. But Marcellus Williams was executed. It’s a done deal that is not reversible. Is this the kind of decision that should be left at the discretion of other humans when someone should no longer be living?
Some states may believe the death penalty is necessary for certain crimes while others have discontinued being an executioner. Is this a decision that should vary from state to state, or should a higher level of authority e the ultimate decision maker?
What happens when life has dealt cards that one wishes to turn in on their own accord. Dr. Kavorkian offer human euthanasia services and was condemned for such activities. Does it make a difference if a contraption serves the same purpose rather than a physician?
Who knows what is the right and wrong decision. But we have opinions and share them as always. Join the conversation! Leave a comment, like, share and don’t forget to subscribe!
