TOUCHING THE LIVES OF THE NEW UNTOUCHABLES: While we worry about the few lakh COVID patients in India, more than 20 lakh Indians suffered from tuberculosis last year alone and more than a lakh from leprosy? People suffering from pre-existing conditions and other infectious diseases are at higher risk when a pandemic like Covid 19 hits the country. How can we give them prolonged, meaningful care? Who pays for them?
