  • EFT for Situational and Chronic Guilt
    Apr 6 2026

In a previous episode, we explored the use of EFT tapping for shame and in this episode we focus on the way that guilt can become deeply embedded in a person’s psyche. It can have both a useful purpose as well as an inherently problematic one. Feelings of guilt can alert us to actions that we have taken when we have crossed a line that is incongruent with our own personally held values and can serve as a signal for us to take responsibility and make repairs, especially with another person. However, chronic states of guilt, whether imbued by family, religious or cultural means can serve to set up a default, automated response that can make a person feel guilty on an ongoing basis. Even if you have not caused another real harm, it can prevent you from setting clear boundaries or engaging in self-care out of fear. This in turn may create states of resentment and fear that are ongoing throughout a lifetime. We discussed different considerations for how EFTTapping can support you in overcoming guilt in this episode.

  • Tapping into and out of Shame
    Aug 11 2025

Shame is a powerful emotion characterized by a deep sense of unworthiness or worthlessness or negative self evaluation and criticism that is often triggered by the perception of failing to meet a personal or societal standard. Whereas guilt is often associated with specific actions or behaviors, shame goes even more deeply as a way that we continue to cut ourselves down and remove ourselves from the very things in our life that can bring us connection and love. It is commonly the toxic emotional catalyst that leads individuals into addiction as a strategy for finding temporary relief from a sense of overwhelming failure in life. Using EFT for shame calls for a shame-informed approach which recognizes that the causality of shame is often traumatic in nature, commonly connected to childhood trauma, often related to addictions and necessitates a slow and gentle approach with any therapeutic intervention like EFT. In this podcast, we discuss some of those important considerations and adaptations.

  • The Calm Within: EFT for Fear & Anxiety
    Jul 28 2025

Fear and anxiety are incredibly common emotional states and one that EFT can be a powerful healing tool for. There is a significant body of published research demonstrating EFT’s effectiveness for reducing these states. While they are related, they are distinct emotions with different triggers and durations. Fear is often a survival based response to a present and specific threat, while anxiety is a more general feeling of unease or worry about future possibilities, often without a clear or immediate threat. Further along the spectrum are phobias and panic attacks. Craig and Alina offer their ideas for how you can begin to conquer some of these intense emotional states.
